         Step-By-Step Process

Step One               Gather all of your (EPS) Polystyrene.

                                   Remove the contaminants.

Step Two               Shred or loosen the (EPS)

Step Three            Contain the lightweight, crumbled Polystyrene in

a  Gaylord-sized container. Lining it with a large

plastic sheet is optional. The sheet should not be made

                                    of polystyrene.

Step Four              Spray the d-Limonene over the Polystyrene. Or,  pour

                                   the d-Limonene over the Polystyrene.

Step Four +           (optional) Using 55 Gallon Drums, pour d-Limonene into

the drum and continue to add crumbled Polystyrene.

Step Five                Allow the d-Limonene to reduce the Polystyrene by

extracting the air from the (EPS). The d-Limonene loads

at 8 parts to 1. The process can take up to a half an

hour. Mix it around in the Container frequently to

                                   decrease the reduction time.

Step Six                 When The Goo has been created, cover it and store it in

the 55 Gallon-sized Drums. Label them with the labels

you receive from MesaEnviro and store them for pickup.

Step Six +              (optional) If you have used a Gaylord-sized Container,

tightly close the plastic lining at the top. Cover the

Gaylord. Store it until you have more of The Goo to add.

Once it is filled, label it and store it for pickup by

                                   MesaEnviro.

                    Production Notes:

1) The d-Limonene will evaporate. Keep your drum of d-Limonene covered at all times during processing.

2) Frequent mixing is required for the best results. Depending on your volume of Polystyrene, you may want to use a steady arm type of equipment for this process to encourage consistency in the mixing. That will serve to maximize the ability of your d-Limonene for processing.

3) Do not allow large chunks of contamination to permeate The Goo. Surfactants will have to be added to remove the contaminants. The d-Limonene is completely safe to touch so fishing out the contaminants during processing is never a safety concern for your staff .

4) If it is possible, do not mix colors of Polystyrene in processing. Dyes and colors are not a chemical problem for this process, however, if The Goo becomes too saturated with too many colors, it could be more difficult to process immediately.

5) MesaEnviro will not accept The Goo if it is made with a combination of solvents such as 50 percent soy and fifty percent d-Limonene without being fully notified by the Chemical Plant that you have purchased your liquids from. ANY combo-processing MUST be approved before acceptance of The Goo will be granted. MesaEnviro will not provide any shipping or transport for ANY combo-processed Goo without prior approval. This includes all locations that may already be providing The Goo in a pure d-Limonene state. Labeling is crucial to the success of the final processing of The Goo.

6) If you use a conveyor belt shredder to chop your Polystyrene for processing, do not also use the same shredder for metals shredding. The shreds of metal will cause The Goo you create to be considered 'Completely Contaminated' by MesaEnviro. The processing of the plastic content will be compromised entirely.

7) If you are using d-Limonene to liquify a Polystyrene layer off of a metal or wood slab, door, or construction cutting, we ask that you never include the metal or wood parts that are separated from the Polystyrene after you process it. We accept only The Goo. We will assist you to find another use or buyer for remnant metal or wood pieces.

8) Your climate conditions may require you to have storage space, rapid pick-up of The Goo, or Container issues. Discuss those factors fully with MesaEnviro before you begin processing any Polystyrene.

Always call or Email us with any and all questions you may have during the processing.
